this whole gaddafi is sending african mercenaries to libya to fight the protesters?  yeah, well, libya is IN africa, actually libya.  so when ppl report that he is sending african mercenaries, what the fuck does that mean?  oh, it means sub sahara black africans, right?

on top of which, since africa is a continent and not a country, what does it say that we report that he is sending 'african mercenaries' but dont feel the need to mention what countries they are from?

and yes this is important because tunisia, egypt, and libya are all (north) african countries, and if we want to understand these revolutions, we need to understand them within the context of not only 'the arab world', but also of the african continent.
