Event Description:NOW CASTING for the Sundance Institute supported independent movie "PARIAH" being filmed in and around Ft. Greene, Brooklyn.
Directed by by The Definition community member Dee Rees, this film has been welcomed at independent festivals all over, and won a variety of accolades. This year, Rees was a finalist and Netflix's find your voice - thanks to support from so many LGBT community members, like you.
Now, follow this project as Director Dee Rees and Producer Nekisa Cooper take it to the next level. Consider submitting your information to be a part of the background cast (submission information provided below).

PARIAH is a coming-of-age drama about a black lesbian teenager who juggles multiple identities to avoid rejection from her friends and family. The short film version of the same name screened at Sundance 2008 and won over 25 best short awards to include:

Format: 35 mm
Dates: Various, Dec 13 - Dec 30
Locations: Various, Brooklyn
All background actors need to be prepared for:
· Working up to 10 consecutive hours per day
· Providing their own wardrobe under the guidance of the casting director
· Significant "down time"
Background actors will receive:
· Beverages & snacks (those that work over 6 hours will be provided a meal)
· Production credit
· Opportunity to work with up and coming

Great news all! Pariah the feature is currently on Day 10 of shooting in Brooklyn, NY and I am looking for additional background actors for non-speaking roleson Dec. 28.
SEEKING
Males and Females, all ethnicities that can "play" ages 18 - 25. The actors must be available tonight from 5p to 12a. You do not need to be a traditionally "trained" actor for this role. We want to open up this process to all who have a desire to support and the heart to back it up. :-)
LOCATION
We are shooting in the Dumbo neighborhood of Brooklyn.
COMPENSATION
A small stipend, copy of the DVD, production credit and meals.
